Introduction to Arduino for Techies

Are you a techie and stuck inside your computer?  Want to program something that will interact with the world? 

Come to this hands on workshop/lecture to learn about the Arduino microcontroller board.  Arduino and other electronic components will be provided for in classroom use.  You will learn to download programs to the Arduino, connect and control lights, make noises using piezo speaker, and react to buttons.

Who should go:  If the words “variable”, “function”, “loop”, and “command” mean something to you, then this class is for you.

What should you bring:  Bring a laptop with a USB port.  Also, install the Arduino software for your laptop ahead of time:  http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/HomePage If you have any trouble, then just show up to class 30 minutes early or call the instructor, Nathan Price, (832-620-6385).
